Kurt Yeo

Co-Founder/Producer at Vaping saved my life.

Kurt Yeo is the Co-Founder and Producer at Vaping Saved My Life (VSML), a dedicated consumer advocacy group focused on promoting tobacco harm reduction through electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS). With a background as a long-time smoker, Kurt understands firsthand the devastating impact of combustible tobacco products, which the World Health Organization (WHO) identifies as one of the leading contributors to non-communicable diseases worldwide.

In South Africa, where smoking prevalence is alarmingly high with 8 to 11 million smokers and an annual death toll of 42,000, Kurt’s journey to quitting smoking through vaping was life-changing. This profound experience led him to leave his corporate career and delve into the vaping industry, where he met fellow advocate Craig Stuart.

Together, they founded VSML in August 2017, initially as a Facebook page for ex-smokers to share their positive experiences with vaping. In response to negative media coverage and the emergence of EVALI (E-cigarette Vaping Acute Lung Injury) in the US, VSML transitioned into an active consumer advocacy group in September 2019.

Under Kurt’s leadership, VSML strives to balance the narrative around vaping, advocating for its potential to save millions from the harmful effects of smoking. The group’s mission, “Vaping Saves Lives,” continues to resonate with vape activists and harm reductionists globally, with a focus on reaching smokers who have yet to switch.

Follow and support VSML’s mission on social media to help spread the word about the life-saving potential of vaping.
